Born to the late Robbie South, Sandra lived a life defined by warmth, quick wit, and a steady, devoted spirit. She dedicated many years of service to Michelin, where she retired after a fulfilling career and made countless lifelong friends along the way. Above all, her home and heart were centered around her family and friends.
Those who knew Sandra best will fondly remember her unique passions—her beloved collections of teapots, cookbooks, and roosters, as well as her lifelong commitment to never missing an episode of Days of Our Lives. Her humor, sharp intellect, and deep devotion to those she loved will be profoundly missed.
Sandra is survived by her loving husband, John Wayne Miles; her children, Jason Mullikin and Jennifer Hawthorne; and her cherished grandchildren, Sandra "Gracie" Hawthorne, Anabel Hawthorne, Jordan Mullikin, and Katelyn Mullikin. She also leaves behind her devoted brothers, Carl South Jr., Randy South, and Jim South, as well as her niece, Jade South, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Reinhard Mullikin; her mother, Robbie South; and her niece, Ivy South.
The family will receive friends and loved ones for a Visitation to honor and remember Sandra's life on Thursday, November 5, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville SC, 29609.
