Born in Rockwood, Tennessee, the eldest daughter of the late Glenn Charles Wegner and the late Mabel Keylon Wegner, she loved and adored her husband, three children, and one grandchild. Mrs. Tyler taught for 23 years in Greenville County and retired from Bells Crossing Elementary School in 2019. She attended Edwards Road Baptist Church for fifty years, serving in the Children’s and Women’s Ministry.
She was a proud Clemson Tiger, Class of 1985, where she met her best friend, Lisa Ferguson. A loyal and faithful friend, Sandy’s life was marked by generosity and compassion. More than anything, she loved to make people happy.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 33 years Gregory Scott Tyler; her sister, Sharon Faye Wegner of Greenville; her eldest daughter, Emily Hannah Tyler of Greenville; her son, Michael Glenn Tyler (Tiffany) of Greenville; her youngest daughter, Kaylyn Grace Tyler of Greenville; and her first grandchild, Samuel Glenn Tyler.
Her family wishes to thank all of her caregivers, especially Willette Hayes, and the numerous people who have prayed, spent time with, and supported her over the last two years.
