Sarah Foy Williams

Sally was born in Greenville on September 22, 1949 to Jimmy and Betty Anne Foy.

She was a graduate of Columbia College, and began her teaching career in Charleston, where she met Jan, her husband of 42 years.

She retired as a special education teacher from Greenville County Schools.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Carin Brandy and her husband Brandon; and a brother and his wife, Barry and Gayle Foy. Sally was Mimsi to her two cherished grandchildren, Bryce and Braxton.

Sally was a faithful member of Christ Church Episcopal for 30 years. She participated in various ministries there, including the Women’s Bible study and the spiritual living class. She was a greeter, a member of the church prayer chain, and was the convener of the Order of St Luke, the church’s healing prayer ministry. Sally also shared her dog, Clifford, with various nursing homes as well as the Meyer Center for Special Children.

A funeral service honoring Sally and her life will be held in the chapel at Christ Church Greenville at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 30, 2016.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens in Moonville at 1:30 P.M.
