

Bunny was raised in Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Indiana at Pennsylvania with a degree in music. She moved to Greenville, SC in 1978 with her loving husband, Clifford John Gandis. She was passionate about teaching music and taught at both McDuffie High School and T.L. Hanna High School. She also was a professionally paid singer and musician who performed at the Civic Light Opera in Pittsburgh, and at one point sang backup for Ray Charles. She loved music and was an avid piano player. She also had a passion for culinary arts and taught cooking classes. She truly loved teaching and the relationships she had with her students.
Bunny was an active member of Saint George Greek Orthodox Church, where she sang in the choir and participated in the Daughters of Penelope Foundation. Everyone who met her would agree that she was a selfless human being who was very serious about donating to veteran’s organizations and the Ronald McDonald House.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford John Gandis; three children, Liza Kathryn Gandis, John Clifford Gandis (Denise A.), and Nicole Gandis Inglis (Steve R.); and eight grandchildren, Gabriel A. Arango, Jr, Nadia A. Arango, Clifford J. Gandis, Zoe D. Gandis, Constantine A. Gandis, Katina P. Inglis, Sierra E. Inglis, and Jett R. Inglis.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 5-8pm at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at 311 Century Dr., Greenville, SC 29607. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 11am at Saint George Greek Orthodox Church at 406 N Academy St, Greenville, SC 29601. The burial will take place at Woodlawn Memorial Park at 1 Pine Knoll Dr., Greenville, SC 29609.
