Steven William Minor

Steven William Minor, 68, passed away with his beautiful wife by his side on March 24, 2016. Born in Abiline, TX to the late William Bert and Mildred Francis Stanphill Minor, he called Connecticut home for over 25 years. Steven was a faithful Christian who loved traveling the open roads in their motorhome, and he visited many places throughout the United States after retiring from Hartford Insurance Company in 2013. When he wasn’t taking in the fresh air of the outdoors, he was watching his beloved Lakers play basketball. Although he was loyal to the Lakers, he truly loved college basketball and would cheer many teams on through the years. He was also a proud veteran of the Air Force and served his country in Vietnam. Above all, he loved God and family, and he will be greatly missed.

Steven is survived by his lovely wife Memory Kay Minor; his three daughters Rachel Barrett, Kimberly (Matt) Morrell, and Jessica Minor; and eight grandchildren, Makenna Burgess, Skyeler Barrett, Jordan Barrett, Micah Morrell, Lydia Morrell, Anna Morrell, Sophia Morrell, and Clara Morrell.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Woodlawn Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 30th at 3:30pm, and a visitation will be held prior at 2:30pm. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
