He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Norma Rogers. He was a loving father to the late Stewart Rogers Jr., Allison Rogers Leppard and Christy Rogers White (Mike); grandfather to Heather Galloway (Chris), Mitchell Rogers, Samantha White, Zachary White, Brooke Leppard, Austin Leppard; and two great grandchildren, Blake and Landon Galloway.
Stewart served 20 years as a Chief Warrant Officer in the United States Army, which brought him here to Greenville. After retiring from the Army in 1975, he spent 5 years at Michelin then 12 years with Nashville Auto Diesel College before retiring. He was an avid golfer spending most of his retirement on the golf course with his closest golfing buddies. He loved to travel the world. He also loved watching all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports throughout the years.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 10-10:45 am at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11 am in the Mackey Chapel.
