Susan Rucker, 97, died December 23, 2016. Born in Greenville County on January 4, 1919 and was the daughter of the late I. H. “Buck” and Janie Forrester. She was the devoted wife of the late Jack Rucker. She was also predeceased by her brothers Sam Forrester and Hubert “Hub” Forrester, and her daughter Suzanne Blackmon.
Mrs. Rucker worked for 25 years at Sears and Roebuck. She also managed interiors and accounting for RL Rucker Builder. She was a lifelong member of Mauldin United Methodist Church. Her passions were working in the garden and enjoying nature.
Surviving are her daughter, Janet Rucker Williams and husband, Jim of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren Colleen Williams of Washington, DC; Craig Williams of Charlotte.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Mauldin United Methodist Church. The family will receive visitors at the church beginning at 10:00 AM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church cemetery fund, Mauldin United Methodist Church, 100 East Butler Road, Mauldin, South Carolina 29662.
