Susan Taylor Crow Sullivan, 50, passed away after a lengthy illness on April 15th. It seems too soon, yet she had the courage and grace to live a fulfilling and happy life even while battling a terminal illness.
Surviving are the loves of that life, husband Joseph Francis Sullivan Jr. and her 11-year-old son, "Trey," Joseph Francis Sullivan III. She used every minute she was given, most of the time in the service of others.
She was a member of too many boards to name here, although favorites were Leadership Greenville and volunteering at Summit Drive Elementary School and League Academy.
Susan was born in High Point, NC and graduated from Meredith College. She met Joey Sullivan in 1999 and they married in 2000. She worked as a human resources manager for Sullivan Insurance Company, now known as KeenanSuggs.
Also surviving are her mother, Margaret Ann Kornegay of Greenville, her father, Earl Pickett Crow Jr. and stepmother, Shirley A. Rawley of Winston-Salem, NC, sister Karen Parker Crow Pooley (Jack Sydney Pooley) of Tampa, Fla; stepsister Scotty Rawley of West Palm Beach, Fla and stepbrother David A. Rawley III of Thomasville, NC. Her in-laws, Joe and Donna Sullivan, sister-in-law Jennifer Sullivan Hincapie and nieces Isabella, Sophia and Olivia, all of Greenville, SC.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 19th at 11:30 a.m. at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church with visitation immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations can be made to the Buncombe Street Pastoral Care Program or the Challenge to Conquer Cancer, c3ride.org.
