OBITUARY
Thomas "Tom" Cecil Howe
January 4, 1940 – January 7, 2021
Thomas Cecil Howe, 81, of Greenville, peacefully went to be with our Heavenly Father on January 7, 2021. He was the son of the late, Cecil and Avis Howe, of Fitzgerald, Georgia.
He is survived by the love of his life, Betty Howe, whom he loved dearly in marriage for 59 years. Additionally, he is survived by his son, Tommy Howe (Lisa), of Jacksonville, Florida, and his daughter, Susan H. McClure (Mark), of Greer, South Carolina. Tom was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Brett Howe, Kimberly, Anna Leigh, Alexandria, Kathryn, and Abigail McClure, all of whom he adored. Also surviving are his brother, James Howe, of Savannah, Georgia and sister, Glenda Ann Barnard, of Register, Georgia.
Tom embodied the phrase "thy good and faithful servant." He served our country in the Air Force, and was a devoted member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church. His vivacious personality and contagious smile allowed for a successful career as a salesman of many kinds, primarily industrial packaging supplies. His zest for life was profoundly admirable and he never met a stranger. His love for sports trickled down to his grandchildren, and he never missed a sports game of theirs.
Above all else, Tom loved the Lord fervently. He never gave up an opportunity to further the Kingdom and share Christ's love. His family is comforted by the image of his Homecoming, and will forever cherish the memories of his life, well lived.
Visitation to be held at Brushy Creek Baptist Church, Taylors, on Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 10 am, followed by a memorial service at 11 am. Private burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park to follow. Donations on Tom’s behalf may be made to Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 4999 Old Spartanburg Rd., Taylors, SC 29687.

We will miss TOM . He greeted everyone in his reach as he came in on Sunday morning.
He always had a big smile, and was never lost for words of kindness.
His pictures say it all with that smile.

Tom Howe was one of Howard's and my dearest friends. He and Betty meant so much to us as a couple and to me today. We shared so many wonderful memories during the past few years with the Howes. Tom was the kindest, funniest, gentlest, most loving friend one could have. He also was our Prayer Warrior. He spread the Good News wherever he was and to anyone that crossed his path. We'll all miss Tom so much. I know Heaven is rejoicing at the presence of this beautiful soul. Maybe he and my Howard are sharing a laugh or two. I thank God for placing Tom and Betty Howe in my life. Our loss is Heaven's gain.

Betty, I am so very sorry for your loss and for your family's loss. Tom was such a sweet man who always had a smile and a joke that would always make me laugh. I enjoyed working with him in the Good News Club and loved it when you two would come to the Broken Vessel Life Group class. Tom will be missed. Please know that I will continue to pray for your health Betty and for your family's.
With much love,
