Tien Quoc Doan

He was born October 10th, 1948 in Kien Luong, Vietnam. Tien lived his reserved life in Greenville, SC with his wife Vong Huynh with his five sons Tam, John, Dreton, Tony, and Trung. Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends nearby.

Forever proud of his children and grandchildren, touting them as his greatest accomplishments. Tien was joyfully called “Grandpa” by Denna, Sabrina, Tiffany, Dregun, Tisun, Ava, Ivi, and Eve. Loving them greater than he ever imagined possible.

Tien was strong willed and had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He was generous, loyal, and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of his life experiences.

He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and full of love for those who went before him. He will be missed dearly.

A funeral service for Tien will be held Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Century Drive, 311 Century Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. In typical Tien fashion, a celebration of life reception will occur following the memorial service.
