As the education specialist with the Greenville Co. Soil & Water Conservation District, I had many occasions to work with Dr Cornett on several projects. One was with theFarm/City Week exhibit where 1000 Greenville County school children came into a barn to see real live farm animals from beef cattle to baby chicks. Dr Cornett once told me, “Park your car in the shade when you can, Miss Becky.” I still think of him every time I park my car under the beautiful live oak trees in the Low Country where I now live. He was a wonderful person who gave me confidence and obviously good advice.
