

Born on March 25th 1934 to Alma Laird Davis and Jesse Washington Davis in Colonial Beach, Virginia, she grew up immersed in the lifestyle of the Chesapeake Bay and coastal Virginia culture.
Virginia was a beloved wife to Robert Lee Parsons, a loving parent to Sandy Parsons White and Bobby Parsons, and a proud Grandparent to Courtney Lee Lewis, Chris Parsons White, and Stephanie Parsons. She cherished her family above all else and created countless precious memories together.
Virginia Lee Parsons had a passion for singing and always knew a song for every occasion. Her love of music extended to decades playing the harp. She was a member of numerous garden clubs across the upstate, including the Frances Vasen Garden Club and Anderson County Women’s Club. Virginia’s specialty was flower arrangement competitions. She was known for her smile and joyful presence. Virginia was an active member in her church.
She is survived by her daughter Sandy Parsons White, grandchildren Courtney Lee Lewis, Chris Parsons White, Stephanie Parsons and great-granddaughter Ava Elizabeth White. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Parsons, son Bobby Parsons, and siblings Eugenia Urbanck, Jessie Hall, and Ronald Davis.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 12th at New Prospect Baptist Church in Anderson, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Children’s Hospital of Greenville in Virginia's memory.
