Virginia R Summerour

Virginia Rebecca "Becky" Summerour, 77, of Taylors, SC entered into Heaven, surrounded by her children and husband, on September 4, 2023. She was the beloved wife of Robert "Bob" Summerour for nearly 40 years and the loving mother of two daughters, Shannon Keevert and Kaci Chapman, both by her first husband, James "Jim" Crutchfield. Survivors left to cherish her memory in addition to her husband and daughters are grandchildren Chase Keevert, Kelsey Pirrone, Emily Chapman, and Brice Chapman, three great-grandchildren Liam Pirrone, Jaxon Pirrone and Grayson Keevert, sons-in-laws, Jon Keevert and Travis Chapman, and brother, Buddy Smith.

Becky was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. William Marvin Smith, Jr. on December 17, 1945 in Lynchburg, Virginia. She grew up in Durham, NC. She attended East Carolina University out of high school, worked as an assistant for a while in elementary school, and spent time working as a customer service representative at the bank; however, she spent the majority of her life as an exceptional homemaker, serving as a devoted wife, mother, and Granny to those she loved most. Becky loved to be outside and work in the yard, tending to her plants with meticulous care. She attended New Spring Church in Greenville, SC with her husband, Bob, and the family celebrates knowing she is with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ today.
