Bruce and Bonnie met at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he trained for a 70+ year career as a metallurgical engineer, sales engineer and company president in the metals industry. Later, he started his own company representing multiple firms including ASKO of Rock Hill, SC and BAG Corporation of Dallas, TX.
Bruce especially enjoyed seeing live music and family parties (often together), and playing the ukelele with his bands, The Yesterukes and The Happy Strummers. He enjoyed golf and traveling, especially to the beach. He loved and doted on his grandchildren singing and writing funny songs about them.
Bruce was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy Aufderhaar and father Herman Aufderhaar. He is survived by his brother David Aufderhaar (Susan), his children Mark Aufderhaar (Cleny), Laura Whiting (Don), Lynn Victory, Amy MacPhee (Robert) and Eric Aufderhaar (Tim). Bonnie and Bruce also had nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
