William Charles Detmer is now resting in the arms of his Savior after a life-long battle with cystic fibrosis. He passed away in his home at 9:16pm on the evening of June Fifteenth, surrounded by his family and friends. Bill, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, was a seven year survivor of a lung transplant; and his life has been an inspiration to all that knew him. His existence was characterized by his determination not to be defined by his illness, but rather to be defined by his faith in Christ. Bill is survived by his wife Diane, children Matthew and Allison, and grandchildren Marley and William.
