William "Billy" V. Grassano Jr.

Billy was born in Greenville, SC on February 28, 1959 a son of William “Bill” Grassano, Sr. of Greenville who survives and the late Barbara Simpson Grassano.

He attended Greenville Technical College and Clemson University. He served in the Air Force from 1985 – 1989 stationed in Anchorage, AK where he was a Sergeant and Fire Protection Specialist. He was last employed by Mitsubishi in Greer, SC in mechanical maintenance.

In his younger years, Billy enjoyed boating and fishing on the lake. He was a great barbeque chef and loved to prepare delicious meals for family and friends.

Billy was kind-hearted and quick to help those in need. He had a soft spot for animals and treated his pets like family. He will always be remembered as a loving son, big brother, uncle, and loyal friend.

He is survived by his brother Jamie Grassano and his wife Leanne, nephew Mac Grassano and niece Jessica Grassano, and cousin Rev. Dr. Tom Grassano and his wife Lidia.

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Mackey Funerals and Cremations at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 1 Pine Knoll Drive, Greenville, SC 29609 in the Remembrance Chapel and the funeral service will follow in the Remembrance Chapel. A committal service will take place at 1:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
