Born on November 5, 1944, in Decatur, Illinois, he was the son of the late Cecil and Catherine Madaus.
Mike is survived by his adored wife, Judy, and her vast, loving family. He also leaves behind his beloved son, Jay, of San Francisco, other son Mark, and two daughters, Lori and Amy, along with four grandchildren.
He served in the US Air Force and was a proud graduate of the University of Michigan with a MS Degree in pediatric dentistry. He practiced for 27 years in Marquette, Michigan until retiring with a medical condition.
A lifetime sports fan, Mike also participated in various sports for many years. He was an avid runner and completed 80 marathons.
A memorial service will be held on September 13, 2025 at 11 AM at Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 2600 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29609.
