She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Harvey S. Firestone III and sister Elizabeth Firestone Willis. In addition to her husband, other survivors include sons John F. Ball, Jr., (Linda) of Winnetka, Ill., and David F. Ball (Lucy) of Darien, Conn., and daughter Sheila B. Burkert (Randall) of New York City; eight grandchildren, and sister Martha F. Dear Jack,
My greatest sympathy to you and all your family. Anne and I were friends years ago and she was in my wedding to Cyrus Merrell in Palm Beach. I have not seen you both for a long time but I have thought of you all often. "Shrimp" was a great friend to me and I will always remember her with love.

The James D. Farley family sends condolences to the entire Ball family upon the loss of wonderful Anne. She was a generous person who never stopped smiling. Her contributions to Greenwich were note-worthy, but she never wanted attention drawn to herself.
We summer just north of the Balls in Harbor Springs, Michigan. I know that Anne loved Northern Michigan as much as we do.
Prayerfully,

David and Debbie Burkert
