Barbara J. Lewandoski

Barbara died at the age of 64, on August 13th after a long illness from a brain aneurism. She had been recovering at the Eastchester Rehab Center in the Bronx NY.

Barbara was the daughter of the late Felix and Dorothy Lewandoski. She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy Stephansen and a nephew Donald Keith Lewandoski.

She is survived by her brother Donald (Leigh) Lewandoski, nephews: Robert and Craig Stephansen; Keith, Brian and Alex Lewandoski; nieces: Joanne Schonberg and Lori Keen and many great nieces and nephews.

After graduating from Greenwich High School in 1967, she attended Berkeley Secretarial School.

Barbara was employed in the Tax Department of UBS in Stamford CT. During her rehab, her goal was to rejoin her co-workers at UBS and to spend time with her family and friends.

Barbara was a wonderful daughter, sister, friend and Aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends and especially trips with her best friends Virginia (Tooti) and Steve Mierisch. She was an avid Mets Fan and a huge follower of Star Trek. Ant always made time for family and was sure to be seen at holidays, birthdays and special events. We all loved her and she will be missed.

The Wake will be held Friday, August 16th from 4-8pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home on 31 Arch Street in Greenwich, CT. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 17th, 10am at the First United Methodist Church at 59 East Putnam, Greenwich, CT with internment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery.

In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice .
