

Born in Teaneck, New Jersey, the youngest daughter of Jean (Hanly) DiGioia and John DiGioia, Eileen leaves behind her mother, brother, John (Isabel) and sister, Jean Marie (Douglas) Jamieson of Greenwich and 5 adoring nieces and nephews, John, Victoria Kania (Patrick), Wesley (Lena), William and Elizabeth.
Following high school at the Academy of the Holy Angels in Demarest, (NJ), Eileen attended Fairfield University where she graduated with a BA in Political Science. In 1988, she joined Greenwich-based Gabelli Funds where she was currently employed as a Senior Vice President of Client Service.
Eileen was a voracious reader who played classical piano for 43 years and had most recently started playing the flute again. Eileen was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and studied foreign languages including Portuguese and French. Eileen was an accomplished chef who enjoyed sharing her baked goodies with her friends and colleagues.
Eileen will be forever remembered for her quirky humor, her sharing of stories of her nieces and nephews, keeping in touch with her extended family and for her overall kindness.
