Florence B. Carlo

Florence B. Carlo, a longtime Greenwich resident passed away peacefully on August 2, 2014. Born in Rye, New York on November 23, 1923 Florence was the second youngest of eleven children of the late Frank and Josephine Riccio.

Florence grew up in Rye, NY and graduated from Rye High School in 1942. She married Thomas A. Carlo in June 1950 and started their family. In 1961 they moved to Greenwich and raised their three children together. Florence and Thomas were devoted to each other until his death in 1999. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons Alan and Joseph Carlo of Stamford, her daughter Janet Kinard and husband Craig, and three grandchildren, Thomas, Luke and Noah of Monroe, CT as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home 31 Arch St. Greenwich, CT on Tuesday, August 5th from 4 to 8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Chuch 84 Sherwood Avenue Greenwich, CT 06831 on Wednesday, August 6th at 10AM.

Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich, CT.
