

Frances Angotta, a 61-year resident of Greenwich, CT., passed away peacefully on February 6, 2017. She was 90 years old. Frances was born on August 1, 1926 to the late Anthony and Julia (Argiro) LaPorta of Purchase, N.Y. She attended Harrison schools, and upon graduation, attended beauty school in NYC. Frances met and married her beloved husband Joseph Angotta in 1948.
Frances was predeceased by her husband Joseph and her sister Diana Pesello. She is survived by her sister Paula LaRussell of White Plains and her brother-in-law Dr. John Pesello of Harrison. She leaves behind her son Chad Angotta and his wife Susan, daughters, Dana Caruso and Kimberly Angotta and her partner Susanne Dwyer. She was the proud grandmother of Jess and Karyn Cox, Cassie and Thomas Gebicke, and Justin Cox, and two great-grandchildren, Ethan Cohen and Graham Cox. She also leaves behind cousins, nephews and nieces.
To honor Frances’ life, family and friends will gather on Friday, February 10, 2017 between 4-8 p.m. at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, 203-869-1513. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows, White Plains, followed by internment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Kids In Crisis, Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Disabled Veterans Foundation.
