Franklin Brownell Manley, Jr., age 54, passed away at Yale New Haven Hospital on Thursday, October 26, 2017 after a lengthy illness. Frank was born in Greenwich, CT on September 19, 1963, and is the youngest of four brothers. Frank attended the University of Denver in Colorado and was a member of the Denver Entrepreneurial Academy. Frank eventually migrated to the trade show industry and ultimately started his own company to launch several shows.
Frank will be remembered for his charisma and charm, as well as his sense of humor. He loved his family and shared his parents' love of music. He acquired a huge collection of unique music CDs over the years. He was also an avid Yankee fan.
Frank was predeceased by his father, Frank Sr. just three weeks ago. He is survived by his loving mother, Barbara C. Manley of Rye, NY and his three older brothers and their families: Charles and his wife Robin Blair (Riverdale, NY); Richard and his wife Cinnamon (Dallas, TX); and Stuart and his wife Jane (Fairfield, CT), several nieces and nephews, especially Kathryn and Ross (Stuart) whom Frank shared the holidays with every year, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Frank is also survived by a stepson, Max Bykov (Stamford, CT). We all loved our dear Frank and will miss his incorrigible sense of mischief and his ability to make everyone laugh at our family events.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff from the Yale New Haven Neurological, Neurological ICU and Neurosurgery departments for their wonderful care and compassion during Frank's illness.
There will be a celebration of Frank's life on Monday, October 30, 2017 with calling hours from 11 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements are handled by the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family believes that Frank would like to help other families struggling in the community and asks that a donation be made to the Connecticut Food Bank, 2 Research Parkway, Wallingford, CT 06492.
