Son of George Svorka II and Edna Muzoleski, and brother to Georgeann - George was an astute fisherman, doting father, experienced electrician, and a lifelong resident of Greenwich, Connecticut. Of his many passions, none were greater than his love of the sea - he was a true Hemingway of his time. Having survived the draft of the Vietnam War, George was able to pursue his career as an electrician, creating a lifelong passion that would further instill the pride that comes with working with one's hands.
George joins his wife, Dale Svorka, in the heavenly beyond, and is survived by his two daughters - Kristen and Alissa, and his two grandchildren - Stella and Orion.
A viewing will be held at Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home in Greenwich on Friday March 12th from 9:30-11am, and service from 11-11:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Save the Sound (http://savethesound.org) to continue the stewardship of the sea he so greatly loved.
