Glen was born to Kenneth Vickers and Rose Campbell on February 1, 1942, in Sheffield, Westmoreland, Jamaica. After marrying his wife, Dorothy, and the birth of his two sons, he immigrated from Jamaica to the United States in 1970, seeking a better life for his family. Once he arrived in America, he worked several jobs to establish himself and bring his wife and kids to the United States one year and five years later, respectively.
Glen spent most of his career as a Machinist at Ruwe Pencil Company and Clairol. He also frequently worked numerous side jobs to support his family. Always the workhorse, Glen continued to work after his retirement from Clairol and spent several years up until his death working for the Town of Greenwich as a Beach Attendant. Glen enjoyed gardening, fishing, and cooking mouthwatering Jamaican food in his spare time. These hobbies allowed Glen to express his incredible generosity as he always enjoyed sharing the crops from his garden, his catch from fishing, and his delicious meals with family and friends alike. In addition to his generosity, Glen was known for his quick wit, passion for fairness, and a penchant for striking up a conversation with anyone around him. His presence lit up the lives of everyone he encountered.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy, two sons, Desmond and Vinton, daughter-in-law, Linda, and six grandchildren, Jessica, Morgan, Chelsea, Jordan, Reese and Julia. He is also survived by four brothers and sisters, Norris, Beverly, Blossom, and Winston, and one brother-in-law, Earl, and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister Yvonne.
