They DO NOT make women like Grace Lawlor anymore! She was and IS a woman who continues to WITNESS LOVE and LAUGHTER... a SPIRITUAL COMPANION to the lonely & the friendless...and in her neighborhood, a Cos Cob ICON... The QUEEN of KENT PLACE...To her beautiful daughters Margie, Gracie, Elizabeth..,& sons, Billy, Patrick & Tommy...she was the ROCK, the WARMTH, & REASSURANCE...and each one will forever wish they could give their beloved Mum just one more hug, one more time. Six kids never loved a mother more. I cannot imagine their deep, love-abiding grief right now as they talked almost every day! She was THE GREAT ENCOURAGER to us all! What a tremendous woman & what a great human being. When I think of Grace, I think of The Holy Spirit Mass Card I gave her last August as she held her great-granddaughter in her arms (so proud)...Our eyes locked & we both knew...all that's left to do now is express the Holy Spirit in our lives. She did so, every day of her life. Thank you for so memorably touching mine, Mrs. Lawlor. I will remember you on the porch, in the kitchen, & climbing the stairs to your bedroom with that sweet husband of yours, Bill Lawlor, laughing like the night was still young! He must be SO happy to see your lovely, smiling face again. I love you, Shivaun Manley Hinman, President, Official Grace Lawlor Fan Club, LLC,Palm Desert Chapter

Margie, Grace, Billy, Elizabeth, Patrick & Tommy: I'm so sorry to hear about your mothers passing. Growing up she was like my second mother, seeing I spent so much time at your home. Nothing can ever replace your mothers love but also know that no one ever loved you more. I share in your tears. My prayers are with you all.
