Inge was born on August 16, 1934 in Hamburg, Germany. She was the daughter of Elsa Brusshoff and Alfons Levin. At five years old, her family left Germany during the Holocaust and moved to America. She met her husband in New Rochelle, NY and they raised five children in Greenwich, CT. In 1976, she graduated from Mercy College where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. As an undergraduate, she taught braille and sign language at the Blythdale Children’s Hospital in Westchester County. She then worked as a Clinical Laboratory Technician at Greenwich Hospital. Years later, Inge switched her career path and worked as a Computer Programmer/Developer at Texaco Inc. in White Plains, New York. For the last 20+ years, Inge was a resident and active member of the Grand Harbor Golf & Beach Club in Vero Beach, Florida. She served as Secretary and Treasurer for the Club.
Inge was a devoted mother and grandmother and a loyal friend. She lived a very social and active lifestyle. She thoroughly enjoyed skiing with her family and spending summers on the lake at the family home in Lake George, NY. She loved music, art, and going to the theater. Inge was a passionate reader and led many book clubs in her community. She was also a seasoned bridge player, golfer, and Captain of the Grand Harbor Ladies Bocce Ball Team.
Inge is survived by her five children; Kathryn Palmer, Lorraine Martin, Raymond Lorenzoni Jr., Carolyn Crabtree, and Ronald Lorenzoni. She has 17 grandchildren. Inge was predeceased by her former husband Raymond P. Lorenzoni Sr.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, 84 Sherwood Avenue, Greenwich, CT at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 27, 2021 followed by interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 399 North Street, Greenwich.
