on Long Island, NY on July 1, 1917. She lived many of your younger years in N.Y.C., Colorado, India and Greenwich with her
family. She attended schools in Paris and Switzerland learning French. She later attended the Ethel Walker School in
Simsbury, CT., Smith College, Northampton, MA and graduated from Barnard College, N.Y.
During the Second World War Joan held a position at Sikorsky Aircraft and trained as a draftsman. She later
served in India for the office of Strategic Service, predecessor to the CIA.
She is survived by her nephews Dwight, Giles, Christopher and Jonathan.
A memorial service will be held at the Round Hill Community Church, 464 Round Hill Road, Greenwich, CT. at 11:30 on Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
