Joe Abbe

Born on May 14, 1940, in the Bronx, New York, Joe devoted his entire career to his family business, a commitment that reflected his strong work ethic and loyalty. After retiring, his passion for the stock market kept him busy. He followed it daily, turning a lifelong interest into a fervent hobby.

Above all, Joe was a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Merten; his daughters, Karen (Abraham) Soler and Lauren Abbe and his cherished grandson, Emanuel. He is also survived by his former wife, Joyce Abbe. He deeply valued time spent with his family and took great pride in their lives and accomplishments.

Joe loved the seashore, treasured moments with his family, and never passed up a good plate of pasta, light on the sauce! He will be remembered for his dedication, his steady presence, and the love he shared so generously with his family.

A funeral service will be held at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, located at 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, Connecticut, 06830. The service is scheduled for January 8, 2026, from 11:00M to 11:45AM.
