

“Jack” was born 7/18/40 on to Lillian and John Armstrong. He is predeceased by his parents, Sisters-Sandra Sandreuter, Judith Riley and brother Bryant.
Jack served in the U.S. Navy on the USS John King and extended his service during the Cuban Crisis. Prior to joining the Navy, Jack was invited to try out for a minor league MLB team. Jack worked at Putnam Trust Bank before joining the Town of Greenwich as a mechanic for the Police Department.
He married Lee Ann Catto and they lived out many memorable times riding in his Corvettes, traveling on his Harley to Marcus Dairy, out on the Sound in his boat or at the Lake Zoar Houses. Jack also loved to lift weights, and play with his ferrets and dogs.
Jack is survived by his sister, Sharon Mann, son Chad, wife Diana and grandchildren, Leeana and Matteo whom he was very close with and spent a great deal of time with. He is also survived by his daughter, Suzanne Kalish, husband Andrew, Grandchildren: Julia Ross ( Blake), Derek ( Katrina) and great grandchildren: Summer, Violet and Dakota.
He was blessed to have many nieces, nephews and friends who all were a special part of his life.
A wake will be held at Leo P. Gallagher of Greenwich on Sunday, April 19, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Mass will follow on Monday, April 20, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Timothy’s. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
