Joseph E. Perna Jr.

Joseph E. (Pat) Perna, Jr., 80, of Norwalk formerly of Greenwich passed away on April 16th peacefully surrounded by his daughters after a courageous one-year battle with cancer. Beloved husband for 38 years of the late, Mary Ann (Hughes). Devoted father of five daughters and their husbands: Cindy and Jim Boyce of Cincinnati, Ohio; Betsy and Pete Smith of Wilton, CT; Susan and Jonathan McConathy of Boston, MA; Patty and Jim Lane of Wilton, CT and Diane and Gary DeBrizzi of Hamden, CT. Cherished grandfather, known as Pops, to his 14 grandchildren: Courtney, Callie and Katherine Boyce; Joseph, Margaret and Natalie Smith; Jake and Zane McConathy; Maddie, Jimmy and Carolyn Lane; and Nicholas, Ava and Hannah DeBrizzi. Also,survived by his two brothers and many loving nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 20th from 4-8:00 pm at Gallagher and Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 21st at 10:00 am, St. Catherine’s of Siena Church, 4 Riverside Avenue, Riverside. Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
