Mondo and Julia were my godparents. Somewhere in life we were disconnected but I will never forget them. As a child, every Christmas they would gift me toys whereas the rest of my family would gift me clothes. Children at Christmas yearn for toys and Mondo/Julia came through for me. You cannot live forever but in a way you do in the hearts of those who never forget you.

To me she was elegant, regal almost and as Angela’s friend I never called her anything except Mrs. Decillis! During my high school years I lost both my parents and my family life fell apart. Mrs. Decillis, rather than discourage her daughter’s relationship with a kid with so many problems, her home was always welcoming and warm. There was always a bed when I needed to spend the night, always a seat at her table. Never with questions or judgement her door and her heart was always open and I always knew I could walk right in.  
She and her husband will remain with me always.

I always loved getting together with Aunt Julie. Whether it was in Brooklyn, Staten Island, or Florida, I always looked forward to our time together. When I was young, I remember that I loved how she always talked to me like I was an adult. I loved to  hear her tell me stories about my dad as a kid &  growing up with all of the siblings. 
Visiting with her in Florida was always so nice. When my family and I would go to visit my parents,  we were always able to spend quality time together going out to dinner & of course enjoying  cosmos! I remember her telling me not to worry about my kids behavior when they were babies. She said as long as they were happy it didn’t bother her. She gave Vincent a cup of ice, spoons, sugar packets… whatever kept him busy so we could enjoy our dinner. 
Aunt Julie is a part of so many memories. I’m so thankful that my children got to know her. She will be greatly missed! We love you, Aunt Julie! Rest In Peace. 

We have so many memories to think about over these many years but our years together in Florida especially stand out.  We did so many things one on one with her and spent so much quality time together.  She is actually the reason we are here in Delray.
We will miss her❤️❤️
