

Kenneth G. Deck (66) of Greenwich, CT and more recently Bonita Springs, FL, passed away on July 10, 2016 with his family by his side. Born on July 29, 1949 in Long Branch, NJ, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Lena Deck. He is survived by his wife Maureen of Greenwich, CT and his two children: Jennifer Cutler and her husband Jonathan of Redding, Connecticut; and Christopher and his wife Caroline of Port Chester, NY; as well as 4 grandchildren: Sawyer, Ryder, Reid and Theodore. He is also survived by his brothers Robert and his wife Claire of The Villages, FL; Thomas and his wife Antoinette of New Hyde Park, NY; Lawrence of Katy, TX; and his twin sister Madeline Kane and her husband Kevin of Massapequa, NY, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Florence and sister-in-law Jeannette Deck.
Recently retired from his firm Ken Deck Interior Design Associates located in Old Greenwich, CT, Ken served the American Society of Interior Design with excellence and vision for the past 30 years. He received the ASID Fellow Award, the Highest Award the Society can bestow on a member and was Past President of ASID CT Chapter for three years, one year beyond the standard term thanks to his expertise and experience which were instrumental during the ASID period of transition of policies. He presided as Past President of the Connecticut Coalition of Interior Design and served on its Board for many years and was also a member of the Greenwich Architectural Review Committee for 33 years. Throughout his life, Ken had a winning smile and magnetic personality. He was loved by his family, friends and colleagues alike and will be sorely missed.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, July 17, 2016 at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street, Greenwich, CT from 2-6PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral Home on Monday, July 18, 2016 at 11AM, followed by entombment at Putnam Cemetery, 35 Parsonage Rd in Greenwich, CT.
