Born in Hackensack, New Jersey, Loren was the daughter of Jeanne Lasker Stephens and Joseph Ryland Stephens. She was raised in Teaneck, New Jersey, and moved to Houston, Texas, as a teenager, where she graduated from Bellaire High School. She graduated from the University of Houston, where she met her husband. She worked as an accountant until the birth of her children. She returned to the Northeast in her thirties, living in Stamford before settling in Greenwich.
Loren was devoted to her family. An expert bargain-hunter and lover of Jewish deli food, she also enjoyed trips to the beach, cross-stitch, and spoiling her pets.
Loren is survived by her husband, Clayton Weaver, her brother Sanford Stephens (Natalia), daughter Jamie Weaver, son Darren Weaver (Erika), her nieces and nephews, and her grandchildren Lucy, Jackson, and Macklin.
The family is planning a memorial service at a later date.
