Mabel Frances Hubert

Frances Hubert, a mother of nine children who lived in Ridgefield from 1973 to 1992, died at her home in Stamford Tuesday after suffering a series of strokes. She was 85. Hubert was married in Ridgefield to Ralph Hubert, a fellow realtor, who passed away in 2003. She worked at several real estate agencies in town, including Harry Neumann Real Estate and Preferred Properties. The former Frances Alberti, she was born in Newton, Mass., in 1924. She graduated in 1945 from Trinity College in Washington D.C., and later taught chemistry there. She was married in 1948, to George B. Moran Jr., with whom she had nine children. The family lived in Tarrytown, NY, from 1964 to 1973. Moran passed away in 1972. Hubert is survived by nine children, 23 grandchildren, and a sister, Kay Angermueller of Watch Hill, Rhode Island. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church on 4 Riverside Ave. in Riverside, CT. A wake will take place on Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home at 31 Arch St. in Greenwich, CT. Donations in her memory may be made to the Trinity College Annual Fund, Office of Development, 125 Michigan Ave NE, Washington, DC, 20017.
