Michael Rocco De Fruscio

Michael Rocco DeFruscio Michael Rocco DeFruscio, age 23, died tragically on August 11, 2011. Born April 5, 1988, he was the son of Robert and Dianne DeFruscio, and the brother of Matthew DeFruscio of Greenwich, CT. Michael left behind a life full of accomplishment. Michael was an Eagle Scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow, The National Honor Society for Eagle Scouts. While in Greenwich High School, Michael was also a member of the Greenwich High Varsity Wrestling Team. A senior at Lynn University in Boca Raton Florida, Michael was the current president of his Alpha Phi Delta Fraternity. Michael had just completed an internship at Arthur J. Gallagher and Company. Michael was blessed with many gifts. He had the ability to enter a room of strangers and leave with a host of friends. He was passionate about his fraternity involvement, staying in touch with his Greenwich High classmates, and always talking about his plans for the future. Michael leaves behind a large and loving family. He is survived by his grandparents, Rocco and Charlotte DePalma of Palm Beach Gardens, FL as well as his uncles and aunts, Jeff and Charlotte Nau, Paul DeFruscio and Lynette Kapisnow, Barbara and William Massey, and Joyce and Daniel Motta. In addition he is survived by his cousins, Erin, James, and Lauren Nau, Marco and Sabina DeFruscio, William and Bridgette Massey, and Brooke and Christopher Beranger. Calling hours will be at the Leo P. Gallagher Funeral Home in Greenwich, CT on Sunday, August 14th from 4:00PM to 9:00 PM. A Roman Catholic Mass will be held Monday August 15th at 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church in Greenwich.
