Neil was a lifelong friend. We met in high school as our gym lockers were right next to each other. Being a friend with Neil meant you were also a member of his extended family, so my frequent visits to the Wolff household always included extensive food offerings from his amazing Mom, and interesting discussions with his Dad, and fn times with his brothers and sisters. Neil and I went on to become roommates at Cornell, where Neil played a role in connecting me with my future wife Mary Anne. I still vividly remember the night that Neil’s sister Cathy was born. I never saw him so excited! But that epitomized Neil, as #1 was always about Family, followed very closely by his beloved animals. We had many wild escapades with Neil over the years, and I will always remember him as one of the most interesting characters I’ve ever known. I’m not much of a believer in the afterlife, but if there is one I am sure that Neil is having a field day meeting up with all those animals he treated over the years. Rest in peace my old friend.

Dr. Wolff's passing is a devastating loss for all of his 4-legged and 2-legged friends and patients. He was the kindest, most caring and knowledgeable veterinarian I I've ever encountered.  For over 25 years  I trusted his judgment and diagnosis regarding my many cats.  His concierge practice took a stressful situation and made it stressless, which Leo, Bode and Sophie truly benefitted from. 
May his memory be a blessing.

It. Is with deep sadness I extend my heartfelt compassion to each of you in the death of your Dad.

Though I knew him only four short years we connected powerfully in sharing our respective medical experiences in the past several years - our suffering and our healing- to the extent we did,

During this last year I expressed several times my concern about his thinness and   about his thinness and and his looking unwell. He assured me he was eating and sleeping “just fine””,  his energy was good and his weight “just where” he wanted  it to  be - his his energy good and his weight just where he wanted it to be. Neil expressed authentically his love of his concierge practice and how much freer and less stressed he felt. There was real joy on  his face when he talked about his love of his practice.
And importantly how close he and your mother have become since divorcing and how much that meant to him .
I hope each of you will allow yourself to grieve in whatever way you need, knowing there is no right way and each one  grieves uniquely.

Dr Wolff was a singular expert and human being. For 15 years he was part of our lives and was in our home just last week performing yet another miracle of kindness and help for one of our dogs. 

From almost the day we arrived all those years ago, brand new to Connecticut, Dr Wolff was such an important person in our lives and throughout the lives of our dogs past and present. He made every dogs life better and their departures gentle. We are heartbroken at this loss. 

Here's to a great man.  A finer one there never was.

Carl and I are so saddened and shocked to hear this. We knew your dad for over 25 years. We just saw him at the end of October and I just texted with him last Friday.  He took such wonderful care of our pups and we always had great political discussions. He will be truly missed. Please accept our sincerest condolences.

We are so very sorry for the loss of Dr Neil. He was beloved and cherished by my family and many others.  We spent countless hours together thru the years as he aptly and lovingly took care of our cats and dogs, both still here and passed. He was such a kind, giving, smart, thoughtful, loving and compassionate man and doctor. We will miss his friendship, knowledge, and guidance. Our hearts break for all of you whom I know he loved so deeply and dearly- we heard of all of your accomplishments, marriages, births, trips and much more thru the many years of time with Dr Neil.  Thank you for sharing your wonderful Father with us.  In lieu of flowers, we have made a donation to the SPCA in his name.
