

Rosamond Farrell Buck Vernon passed away on Wednesday, March 7th at the age of 81 in Stamford, Connecticut after a short term illness. Rosamond was born in New York City, NY on December 26, 1930, the oldest of 6 children to Richard Buck and Rosamond Farrell Buck. She attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart Schools starting at 91st Street in NYC, and moving to ,Noroton, CT. She later graduated from Manhattenville College. In 1955 she married George Ruppert Vernon, the late former First Selectman of Greenwich. Rosamond was active in: The Red Cross, United Way and TAG (Transportation Association of Greenwich), Urban league, Department of Social Services, served on the board of Manhattanville College. She was an avid bridge player. Rosamond and Ruppert were co-owners of United Publishing and Printing in Stamford. Rosamond is survived by: Her children: Anne Buck Vernon, Josephine P. Vernon, and Rosamond Vernon Amchtal Her son-in-law's: Brahim Amchtal andRobert Muller 6 Grand Children: Nicholas Campbell, Farrell Campbell, Kyle Campbell, Ruppert P. Vernon, Alexander Vernon and Amal Amchtal Her siblings: James Buck, Richard Buck, Mother Debra Joseph and Connie Buck She is predeceased by: Her husband Ruppert Vernon (1998) , Her son Ruppert Vernon (2001) and Her sibling Barbara Buck Moss.
