Santa Angelina Del Tosto Coperine, 94, of Greenwich, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, January 26th at Greenwich Hospital after a short illness. She was born December 6, 1922 in Port Chester, NY. to the late Validoro and Margaret Del Tosto. Mrs. Coperine is survived by her daughter Michelle (John) Taliercio of Florida, her sons Michael Jr (Karen) Coperine of Cos Cob, Richard Coperine (Jayne Defelice) of Norwalk, seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She married her best friend and loving husband, Michael, in 1945 and moved to Greenwich where she enjoyed cooking for her family and working on crafts with friends. She has always been a loving, caring and thoughtful wife, mother and grandmother.
Family and friends may call at the Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 31 Arch Street in Greenwich on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 4:00pm-8:00pm. A catholic funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Church in Greenwich on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 10:00am. Internment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Greenwich.
