Susan Ann Figgie

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Susie was the beloved daughter of Dr. Harry E. Figgie III and Catherine “Tina” Figgie, and the cherished sister of Catherine “Katie” E. Figgie and Harry E. Figgie IV.

A fierce advocate and gifted public speaker, Susie’s voice carried not only her own convictions but also the hopes and needs of many in the disability community—especially at the Capitol in Hartford, where she passionately championed increased funding for nonprofits.

Susie was a treasured member of the Abilis family. She will be remembered for her radiant smile, joyful singing, and legendary dance moves. Her presence brought light and laughter to all who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday June 7, 2025, at 10am at Saint Catherine of Siena Church 4 Riverside Ave., Riverside, CT 06878.
