Arthur "Art" Smith

Arthur “Art” Smith, 71 of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was semi- retired from Frank Sharum Landscaping and a member of Excelsior Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Liberty Cemetery in Greenwood. Viewing will be Monday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.

He is survived by his wife, Susie; a daughter, Paulena Schoenthaler of Strasburg, CO; one brother, Stan Smith of Ruthven, IA; two sisters, Ardis Erickson of Peterson, IA and Delores Klatt of Spencer, IA; six grandchildren, Austin C. Smith, Chianna Schoenthaler, Brianna Cash, Amberly Cash, Parker Post and Brittany Lay and two step-daughters, Cristy Duncan and Shannon Green both of Alexander, AR. He was preceded in death by his son, A.C. Smith; his parents, Melvin and Almeda Smith; three brothers, Charles, Clyde and Alan Smith and one sister, Lois Jane Smith Bond.

Pallbearers will be Larry Basinger, Paul Basinger, Steve Wroten, Frank Sharum, Johnny Plunkett, David Moon and Matt Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Stan Smith and Austin Smith.
