Barbara Turner

Barbara A. Turner, 81, of Greenwood died Friday, September 16, 2016. She was born in Ben Hur, Texas on November 22, 1934 to Bryan and Ida Sawyers. Barbara was a Christian and a member of First Baptist Church in Greenwood. She was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company after 31 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her brother, E. J. Sawyers; her sister, Peggie Andrews and her parents, Bryan and Ida Sawyers.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James C. Turner; her daughter, Lisa Barrientos and husband, Felipe of Waco Texas; her son, Brad Turner and wife, Brenda of Conway, Arkansas; grandchildren, Christian and Hannah Barrientos, Josh, Emily, Rebekah, Kate and Anna Beth Turner; her brother, Ronnie Sawyers and wife, Lynn of Mart, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be10:00 a.m., Saturday September 24 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Dawson Cemetery. Viewing will be Friday from 1 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.
