Barbara Ann Willsey

Barbara Ann Willsey was born in Hartford, Arkansas on April 10, 1932 and was welcomed home on Tuesday, May 05, 2015 at the age of 83. There, she joined her husband, James Willsey; her father and mother, Thomas and Stella McCafferty Harger; two sisters, Wilma Harger Spradling and Tommy Dean Harger; and one brother, Bill Harger. She was retired from Beverly Enterprises, a devout Christian and a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Hackett. During Barbara’s final weeks, she was a witness to those close to her and proof that miracles do happen by the Grace of God.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Hartford Memorial Park. Viewing will be Thursday from 2 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home, where family will visit with friends from 6 – 8 p.m.

She leaves behind a loving family of two brothers, Chuck Harger and wife, Mary of Covina, CA and Herman Harger and wife, Doris of Sierra Vista, Arizona; her daughter, Lynne Meador and husband, Brad; one granddaughter, Amanda Cheek and husband, Brandon; two grandsons, James Meador and wife, Kila and Kevin Meador and wife, Aleesha, all of whom reside in Hackett, Arkansas. She is also survived by five great grandchildren; Rayan, Payson, Kane, Brayson and Nova.

The family would like to take this time to thank Barbara’s wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ; Dave, George, Nancy H., Nancy K., Marilyn, Damon and Susie; her Mercy “Angels”, Donna and Michelle; and her wonderful aids, Jamie, Barbara and Stacy.

Pallbearers will be James Meador, Kevin Meador, Brandon Cheek, Damon Sadler, David Stephenson and George Heflen.
