Betty Sue Dobbs

Betty Sue (Wilkerson) Dobbs, 92, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 in Fort Smith. She was born February 19, 1931 in Greenwood, Arkansas to Charley and Thursa Wilkerson. She was the Sebastian County Tax Collector for 29 years and lifetime member of New Hope/Westwood Baptist Church in Greenwood.

She is survived by her children, Jeanne Schluterman (Bobby), Scott Atkins (Sandee), Tim Atkins (Beverly) and Jeff Dobbs (Melissa); grandchildren, Jaime Donaldson (Rick), Jenifer Maldonado (Greg), Daniel Schluterman (Nicole), Keather Hansen (Bryce), Whitney Carroll (Antonio), Brenna Woodhull (Seth), Ryan Atkins (Suzanne), Haden Atkins, Fabian Cano and Zander Dobbs and her great grandchildren, Logan, Landry and Lilly Donaldson, Draven and Myrie Schluterman, Jude and Ezra Hansen, Sybil and Florence Carroll, Rosalie and Theodore Woodhull and Chris, Maddox, Belle, Malia and Tori Atkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leavon Dobbs and siblings, Perry, Troy and Bill Wilkerson, Louise Solesbee, Laverne McCorkle and Berniece Dyer.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, November 17 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Cross Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters.
