Betty June (Kendall) Fredrick

Betty June (Kendall) Fredrick, age 86, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Betty was born on February 18, 1940 in Haviland, Kansas. She was the second daughter of Claude and Bessie Kendall.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her siblings, Sharon Haygood and Claudine Reames and two grandchildren, Kendall Rice and JJ Degnan.

Betty enjoyed gardening and was known to have a green thumb. She loved feeding the hummingbirds and doing work in the yard when she was able. Betty was a spit fire who loved to be busy, being on the go and was known for frequently rearranging her furniture.

Betty is survived by her children, Terri Star, Jackie Baker (Rick), Randy Rice (Amy) and Janet Degnan (Jim); nine grandchildren, Kinlee Sharpe, Brooke Butler, Dustin Williams, Natalie Flores, Nick Starr, Dalton Baker, Dax Baker Jesika Boyce and Randalyn Ward; fifteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter due in November. She is also survived by her sister, Gayla Richards and a brother, Sam Kendall.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Friday, September 11 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Cross Cemetery. Viewing will be Thursday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Williams, Dalton Baker, Dax Baker, Nick Star, Brayden Hedge, Easton Hedge and Dylan Williams.
