Betty Ruth Hunt, 72, of Mansfield, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025 in her home. She was born January 23, 1953 in Mena, Arkansas to William Evert and Joyce Lessie (Morphew) Jesse. She was a retired nurse for the Area Agency on Aging in Waldron and a member of the Lighthouse Family Worship Center in Witcherville.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Hunt; one son, Bruce Yandell of Mansfield; four daughters, Bettina King and husband, Koby of Arapaho, OK, Angela Martin and Larry of Mansfield, Dena Huck and husband, James of Branch and Robin Heidelberg and husband, Rick of Natural Dam; two brothers, William Kenneth Jesse of Whitesboro, OK and Jack Cagle of San Jose, CA, fourteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, with one on the way and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Austin Hunt and a sister, Mary Sutter.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, December 1 at the Lighthouse Family Worship Center in Witcherville with burial at Friendship Cemetery in Waldron. Honors will be provided by the Nurses Honor Guard of the River Valley. Viewing will be Sunday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 3 – 5 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Bryce Yandell, Bentley Castillo, Steven Pogue, Joe Huck, Eli Huck and Koby King. Honorary pallbearers will be Marshall Hunt and Chance Hunt.
