Betty L. Spearman

Betty L. Spearman, 89, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at a Fort Smith hospital. She was a retired bookkeeper for First National Bank, member of Rye Hill Baptist Church and the widow of John W. Spearman. In her spare time she loved to cook, sew, garden and travel.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Thursday, September 6 at Rye Hill Baptist Church with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends during this time.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Spearman and wife, Joan of Fort Smith and Larry Spearman of Van Buren; one brother, John W. Hale of Bartlesville, OK; two grandchildren, Kelly Wilson and husband, Daniel of Fort Smith and Tracy Liipfert and husband, Bailey of Bentonville and two great grandchildren, Clare Wilson and John Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Mike Owens, Daniel Wilson, Bobby Reano and Bailey Liipfert. Honorary pallbearers will be The Faith Class at Rye Hill Baptist Church.
