Bill Hammond

Bill Hammond, 74, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025 in Fort Smith. He was born January 17, 1951 in Watertown, New York to Clyde and Dorothy (Hanson) Hammond. He was a self employed truck driver.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Hammond; two sons, B.J. Hammond and Dale Montgomery; five daughters, Melissa, Valerie Hammond, Ashley, Stacey Strozier and Nikki Fears; one sister, Deborah Garrett-Jennison; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Hammond and a sister, Mary Lou Hammond.

A family directed memorial service will be 1 p.m., Friday, September 5 at Central Baptist Church in Fort Smith. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
