Billy Joe Smith, 83, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026 in his home. He was born April 11, 1943 in Jenny Lind, Arkansas to Billy and Margaret P. Smith. He was retired from Beverly Enterprises, member of Jenny Lind First Baptist Church and was an avid Greenwood Bulldog fan.
He is survived by his daughters, Freda Kaye Jackson and Caroline Bailey; one sister, Carol Ann Smith; seven grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Freda K. Smith.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
