Bobbie Rae Jones

Bobbie Rae Jones, 83, of Greenwood , passed away on Friday, October 28, 2011 in her home. She was a retired city clerk with the City of Greenwood and a member of First Baptist Church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Harris Hannah V.F.W. Post #6527. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Mildred Bobbitt; a sister, Ravenna Mae Bobbitt and an infant son, James Don Jones.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Theral “Charlie” of the home; three daughters, Jackie Franks and her husband, James of Greenwood, Carolyn Harkreader and her husband, Jerry of Omaha, NB, and Janet Cox and her husband, Jim of Greenwood; one brother, Wendell Bobbitt of Greenwood; one sister,Vita Sue Graham of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, Michelle Landers and her husband, Dr. Andrew, Michael Franks and his wife, Dr. Amy, Dr’s Amber and Chris Bass, Jonna Osborne and her husband, James, Krista Charen and her husband, Adam, and Jacob and Jonathan Cox; and five great grandchildren, Collin and Hayden Franks, Anna Charen, Sydney Osborne and Ella Bass.

Services will be Monday, October 31st at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Greenwood with burial at Gilliam Cemetery under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood . Viewing will be Sunday, October 30th from 1-9 PM at the funeral home where family will visit with friends from 6-8 PM.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandson-in-laws.
